I think for most people, fish is one of the easiest "meats" to get down. I'm
glad it worked out for you :)

The catfish went down just fine. I had some rice and corn with it also. Maybe
it's because I ate slow and didn't eat very much? I'm just happy to eat some
form of protein without pain.

hi all...
i am in the franklin area of elk grove.
i am happy to get together for dinner. i am free most weeknights and
would a get together.
Great places are Mikuni, Kintaro, (both sushi), Paesano's
(italian)...all in Elk Grove...i am also happy to go to Lodi, or galt
or even Sac.
i probably won't be able to check my email much this weekend so if you
don't hear from me right off i will respond beginning of the week.

Stockton may be a more central place. Judy is in Hayward, then there are
those of us in Elk Grove and Lodi. Sharon I think it is a lot farther for you.
Friday or Saturday nights are great for me too. How would Sat. May 10th work for
everybody?

Hey don't forget me down here in Stockton.... I can name a few really
nice restaurants in Lodi that we like... my girls are older and have
gone to them... Pietro's Italian Restaurant on Kettleman just off 99
has really super good Italian food,,, soups, salads, then there is
Strings just a bit further down Kettleman by Food 4 less, we also have
it here in Stockton right off 1-5 and eight mile road in our new
shopping center. Up in Sacramento just passed downtown is a large area
of restaurants and there is one there called Mimis and that has a wide
variety of foods. Lodi even has the first original A & W . However, the
call needs to be made by those of you who have had the surgery, what
can you eat, the rest of us could adapt to you. My thinking is the
bigger the menu the more choices we would have... For me Fri and Sat
nights work best. Beth

I had my gall bladder removed almost 3 years ago. It was an outpatient procedure
and recovery was fairly easy.

Well everyone, I finally could not take the fire in my stomach any
longer and called the surgeon. I figured he was going to tell me I
have an ulcer but I was wrong. He is putting me on 2 meds for ulcer
just in case, but arranging for an ultrasound because he thinks that I
will need to have my gall bladder out. UGH!
I have not heard anyone from this group say that they have had to have
this done - am I wrong? Can someone tell me a little about it? How
long is recovery? It just stinks! I promised my kids no surgery's
this summer and already have Disney paid for....I am not happy about
it. How long can you go with a bad gall bladder? Can I put it off
until next autumn? Geeze Louise.
LOL - I wont tell my boss for 2 weeks though - performance evaluations
will have been sent back to HR by then....
